Day 6:Lhasa→ Tashilhunpo Monastery → Shigatse

[Shigatse], meaning "the best manor" in Tibetan, is one of the "granaries of Tibet". It is the political, religious and cultural center of Tibet in history, and it is also the place where Panchen Lama has been stationed. With a history of more than 500 years, it is currently the second largest city in Tibet.
[Tashilhunpo Temple], also known as the "Auspicious Sumeru Temple", is the largest temple in Katse area, together with Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Ganden Monastery in Lhasa, Kumbum Monastery in Qinghai and Labrang Monastery in Gansu Tied as the six major temples of the Gelug Sect. It was initiated in 1447 by Gendun Drupa, the first Dalai Lama, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. At its peak, Tashilhunpo Temple had more than 3,000 rooms, more than 5,000 monks, more than 50 affiliated temples, and more than 30 manors and pastures. Starting from the fourth Panchen Lama, subsequent Panchen Lamas have used this temple as their residence. Today, Tashilhunpo Monastery has: 4 Dracangs, 56 sutra halls, more than 3,600 rooms, and more than 800 monks. Covering an area of 300,000 square meters.
Highlights:
1. There is a bronze Buddha statue enshrined in the Qiangba Buddha Hall. A total of 231,400 kilograms of brass and 6,700 taels of gold were used. Only the two eyebrows of the Buddha statue were inlaid, and more than 1,400 large and small diamonds and pearls were used.

Day 7:Shigatse-EBC-Rongbuk Monastery

[Mount Everest]: Mount Everest is 8,848 meters above sea level and is the world's highest peak. It is located in the middle part of the Himalayas on the border between China and Nepal. The peak is covered with snow all year round. Looking at the overhanging glaciers and towering silver peaks in the distance, the scenery is extremely strange and spectacular.
[Dingri Everest Observation Deck]: The Everest Observation Deck is located 22 kilometers away from the Everest Road in Tingri County, Shigatse. This is the only way to the Everest Base Camp. The observation deck is 5,200 meters above sea level. Looking south from here, you can see Mount Everest and other snow-capped mountains as high as 8,000 meters.
[Rongbuk Temple]: Rongbuk Temple is about 5,100 meters above sea level. The terrain is high and cold, and the scenery is wonderful. The new Everest Base Camp is nearby. Fortunately, you can also see the flag clouds of Mount Everest floating like the fire of life.
[Warm reminder]: In addition to the Tibet entry permit, foreign tourists traveling to Mount Everest in the same car must apply for a travel permit in Shigatse. The tour guide will reasonably adjust the itinerary based on the travel permit application situation.
Accommodation that night will be in Everest camp tents (8-15 people/tent, multi-person beds, limited conditions): overall it is clean and tidy, but it is quite different from hotels in the city. Day 8:EBC→Shigatse

[Yamdrok Yongcuo Lake] is a freshwater lake one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. The water is as clear as suet, and the water is sweet and drinkable. blue The lake is connected with the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Together with the various mountains on both sides, unique Tibetan villages, and cattle and sheep everywhere, it is refreshing to walk along the way. Yanghu Lake has a water area of 638 square kilometers, an altitude of 4441 meters, and a shoreline of 250 kilometers. This lake is also considered to be the turquoise earring left by the goddess in the world. Standing on the top of Gangbala Mountain at an altitude of 4950 meters and looking southward, Yamdrok Yumco looks like a sapphire embedded in the peaks. The blue lake is as smooth as a mirror and reflects the bright blue sky.
Day 10:Lhasa → Chengdu/Chongqing → Home
